Serenity Prayer God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

That depends on the type of evaluation as psychological, vocational or educational. but typically anywhere from 1-3 hours or more.  Forensic evaluation are longer if it is for complex problems like  Mitigation, etc. 

1. Intake Interview 
2. Tests Related to Referral Problem(s)2-5 (IQ, Forensic, MH, Neurological, Medication Review, if any). 
3. Verbal Summary of Session
4. Outline of Recommendations

Timing depends on the nature of referral questions. Typically 2-3 weeks, then feedback occurs, based on if direct client or referred by a state agency.  If a 3rd party agency referred client, feedback, staffing or Court hearing  depends on their schedule. .

A series of recommendations will be reviewed with the client at end of assessment session. Then a series of recommended services, resources, and or any other speciality referral is needed, if any.  A  data base of community resources and specialists is maintained for the smooth transition and coordination of services as needed with client's input.
